Terms & Policies
TRUE REPAIR, formerly Kolt Tebb Fabrications
Overview
These terms explain how we run True Repair. They cover how quotes work, fixed-package pricing, mobile welding, warranties, safety requirements, payment rules, and scheduling. Booking work with us means you agree to the terms below.
Quote Requests & Written Estimates
Quotes start with photos and a short description. We may ask for extra details (video, measurements, more photos) to ensure accuracy. Some jobs require an in-person look. All quotes are written and itemized before work starts. We typically reply within 15 minutes during business hours. This is a typical response time, not a guaranteed turnaround for every request.
Not Weldable = No Charge Guarantee
If a part cannot be safely welded as presented, there is no charge for the welding attempt. This applies to weldability issues only. If the issue is prep, contamination, coatings, or hidden damage, we may decline the job or recommend shop prep. A $200 callout fee may still apply if a mobile visit has already taken place.
12-Month Workmanship Warranty
Welds are covered for 12 months against failure under normal use, where the failure is caused by our workmanship. The warranty covers only the specific repair we completed, not the surrounding structure, and not the equipment as a whole.
Warranty coverage does not apply if the repair is modified, altered, or worked on by anyone other than True Repair after completion, or if the failure is caused by an unrelated failure elsewhere on the equipment that takes the repair down with it. Any additional limits specific to a job are noted in writing at the time of quote and take precedence over this policy.
Does not cover: rust, corrosion, pre-existing cracks, contaminated materials, client-provided materials, cosmetic appearance, or mobile welds affected by wind/dirt/weather.
Materials, Consumables & Credits
Each package includes a materials credit. Specialty materials are billed at cost. Consumables include filler, gas, abrasives, etc. There are no unexpected shop fees. If material needs to be sourced, it's billed at cost plus handling; special orders are prepaid.
Fixed-Package Pricing Terms
Every package has a mobile price and a shop price, both fixed and confirmed in writing before work starts. Mobile pricing covers travel, setup, and the repair itself in one number. It is not billed as a separate add-on. Packages are not hourly billing. Time references are approximate, but package scope controls the price. If the job exceeds package limits, you must approve any add-ons first.
Mobile Welding Terms
Mobile pricing covers travel, load-in/out, setup, teardown, and the repair itself as one fixed price. Clear access is required. Weather or unsafe conditions may require rescheduling. Some welds require shop conditions for the best result. TIG and Stick welding available on mobile.
Rush Repairs
Priority next-day: +$100. Rush (same-day or next-day): +$200. Emergency (after 2pm): +$300. Availability depends on the current schedule. If multiple rush jobs arrive, priority goes to urgency, safety, and travel. Rush fees are non-refundable.
Additional Services
Pickup and return is available for small items that fit safely in the truck box, priced the same as mobile for your package. It is not a separate add-on. Larger or awkward items need mobile service instead.
A protective finish (sanded, primed, and painted) is available for +$95–$250 depending on size and complexity.
Completed jobs are held for 3 business days at no charge after the completion notice. After that, storage is $20/day.
Changes in Scope & Additional Work
If the real-world job differs from the photos or description, the quote may be updated before starting. No surprise billing. Work that falls outside the original package scope is quoted as a flat add-on price and requires your approval before we continue.
Measurements & Client Responsibilities
Clients are responsible for providing accurate measurements and specifications for their repair unless we take them ourselves on site. We are not responsible for misalignment caused by incorrect measurements. Clients must disclose coatings, alloys, or previous repairs.
Payment Terms
Payment is due at completion. Select commercial accounts may operate under Net 15 terms, as specified on their invoice. Late payments may incur a 1.5% monthly administrative fee. Collections may be used for unpaid invoices. Materials remain property of True Repair until paid in full.
Cancellation & Rescheduling
Cancellations under 24 hours may incur a $95 fee. Mobile cancellations once in transit may incur a $200 callout fee to cover the trip already made. Weather delays are rescheduled without penalty.
Limitations of Liability
We are not responsible for underlying structural issues, indirect loss (downtime, revenue loss), or failures caused by client prep, rust, contamination, hidden damage, or incorrect measurements.
